NEW SERIES : WHERE I BELONG

As an abstract artist, "Where I Belong" is an ongoing series that explores profound questions surrounding the concept of belonging. In recent months, I have dedicated my efforts to exploring what it truly means to belong somewhere. Is belonging defined by a physical place, or is it an emotional state of mind? Living as an expatriate in a foreign land, the experience of returning to one's homeland prompts deep reflections on our innate desire for belonging and the sense of security it brings.

This series captures the essence of traveling and returning to a place once considered home—the familiar sounds, scents, faces, and surroundings. Yet, within this familiarity, a persistent inner dialogue emerges, questioning the true meaning of home and belonging. Why do we yearn for a place to call our own? What enables children to find unbridled joy and playfulness wherever they are? How does the notion of belonging differ from person to person?

The artworks captures the heart-mind conflict when answers are elusive. Each piece contrasts rugged textures with smooth ones, evoking groundedness and resilience. Abstract elements symbolize innovation and free thought, inspiring creativity and boldness.
