Where the ocean meets the sea
The clouds curl up and greet with a bow,
The waves snug and rise above.
The blue of the sea, the blue of the sky,
How they unite so perfect, there's a twinkle in my eyes.
The blues of both sparkle along with the rays of the sun,
From the stout to the bow, I watch the horizon.
The wind blows against my face, catches my hair,
Scatters it all ways, without a single care.
For now, I am steady, firm and strong,
What if I fail and waves take me along.
The waves are here, there's water beneath me,
Here will I stay, for everyone to see.
This is where I am meant to be,
This is where I belong.
My dreams, my hopes, this is where they are.
I know I will walk for long, I will go very far.
I know I can make it, my heart is free.
I want to be here, where the sky meets the sea.

My current go-to places, thanks to my darling kids have been either the zoo or the bird park. Each time I visit the place, it feels like the first time. There are always new things waiting to be found, new animal expressions and activities waiting to be explored, new informative conversations between kids and the animals/birds as if they understand each other so well. What I also look forward to is nature's colour palette and nature's artwork.
Amidst the pandemic the only art gallery open and worth looking forward to is nature's, isn't it?

In 2021, my paintings found a language through colours and with it started a new journey. I acted on a hunch. I am a master in critiquing and praising my works. Courage and patience have been holding my hands tight and guiding me in the right direction. What I did was that I continued to paint regularly, pour my thoughts and memories, sculpt a story. In the upcoming year, I plan to join hands with optimism and integrity.

Sharing this beautiful fragment from a recently finished art piece "Bindu". It took numerous layers and many colour variations to achieve a seamless flow from red to blue and this beautiful spectrum of colours.
Our journey on this planet is very much similar. There are highs and lows and everything in between.

‘In My Mind’ is guided by an interplay between accuracy and intuition, two contrast colour groups ensure the tension in the intense. The painting talks about the contrasting thoughts that go in our mind which may be self-created or concluded by information gathered. The electrical signals propagate like a wave to thousands of neurons, which leads to thought formation.
The bright bloody red stroke signifies our own voice of positivity that tunes out all the other voices in our mind.
This painting is created with love and is very close to my heart as we all go through phases and changes in life which might be difficult to deal with and how we end up focusing on voices that we think are important but are inessential. Our happiness and wellbeing are of paramount importance and this painting is a beautiful reminder of that.
