BINDU - Shakti
Bindu is a Sanskrit term directly translated as "point’" or "dot." Bindu has a rich variety of meanings depending on the context, but it is primarily regarded in Indian religions and philosophies as the point from which all creation begins and is ultimately unified. The red Bindu resides in the Muladhara chakra and is related to Shakti and the Sun. The word Muladhara is composed of two Sanskrit words- Mula meaning “root” and Adhara which means “base” or “support”.
Shakti is the primordial cosmic energy and represents the dynamic forces that are thought to move through the universe. This energy is thought of as creative, sustaining, as well as destructive, and is sometimes referred to as an auspicious source of energy.
For me, Bindu is that consciousness and presence that brings me to peace at the moment. It is like cosmic energy, the life force that is present everywhere. It is extremely important to maintain order in life and expand our consciousness. Muladhara is a practice of consciousness that is received by being at peace with one's own self no matter what is happening outside. Bindu is my attempt to thank the Shiva for the gift of life, turning inward, calming and claiming oneself, working on our way to be one with almighty and respecting the power within.
